Bihar Advocates' Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2026

ACT
to amend the Bihar Advocates' Welfare Fund Act, 1983 (Bihar Act 16, 1983)
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar in the Seventy Seventh year of
the Republic of India as follows:-
1.
Short title, Extent and Commencement.-
(1) This Act may be called the Bihar Advocates' Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2026.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
2. Amendment of Section-22 of the Bihar Act-16, 1983.- The words "Twenty Five
Rupees" mentioned in Sub-Section (1) of Section 22 of the said Act shall be
substituted by the words "Fifty Rupees".
