ADDENDA AND CORRIGENDA TO

THE CRIMINAL COURT RULES OF THE HIGH COURT OF

JUDICATURE AT PATNA (VOLUME-I)

C.S. No. – 103

No. Adm. (Rules) Dept. (X-05-2016) 394(R).—The following amendments are made

in the existing Criminal Court Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna (Volume- I)

with immediate effect:-

1. The words “Criminal Procedure Code” or “the Code of Criminal Procedure”

wherever appearing in the Criminal Court Rules of the High Court of Judicature

at Patna is substituted with the words “Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita”.

2. The words “Indian Penal Code” wherever appearing in the Criminal Court Rules

of the High Court of Judicature at Patna is substituted with the words “Bharatiya

Nyaya Sanhita”.

3. The words “Indian Evidence Act” wherever appearing in the Criminal Court

Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna is substituted with the words

“Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam”.

4. The provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure as mentioned in the Criminal

Court Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna are substituted with the

corresponding provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

5. The provisions of the Indian Penal Code as mentioned in the Criminal Court

Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna are substituted with the

corresponding provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

6. The provisions of the Indian Evidence Act as mentioned in the Criminal Court

Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna are substituted with the

corresponding provisions of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
