E-Certified Copy Rules of the High Court of Judicature at Patna, 2026

No. (X-01-2026)A.D.(Rules) 427 (R).—In exercise of the powers conferred

under Article 225 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the High Court of Judicature at

Patna makes the following amendment in the e-Certified Copy Rules of the High Court of

Judicature at Patna, 2026:-

1.

Short Title, Applicability and Commencement.—

(i)

These Rules shall be called the e-Certified Copy Rules of the High

Court of Judicature at Patna (1^st Amendment), 2026.

(ii) It shall come into force with effect from the date of its publication in

the official gazette.

2.

Amendment in sub-rule (v) of the Rule 4 of the e-Certified Copy Rules of

the High Court of Judicature at Patna, 2026.—Sub-rule (v) of the Rule 4

is substituted in the following manner:-

After substitution

Certified Copy shall be treated as

the one for physical Certified

Copy and the dealing official shall

inform the applicant about the

same. The applicant shall deposit

the fee for physical Certified Copy

as per extant Rules and on failure

to deposit the fee, the application

shall stand disposed of on expiry

of three (03) working days from

the date of intimation to the

applicant.

Section shall obtain the relevant

record(s)/document(s),

scan

and

digitize the same (as the case may

be)

and

take

necessary

steps

including providing the e-Certified

Copy to the applicant in light of the

e-Certified Copy Rules of the High

Court of Judicature at Patna, 2026.
