NORTH EAST MONSOON 2017-18 - RABI - DECLARATION OF ADDITIONAL 9 MANDALS AS SEVERE DROUGHT AFFECTED AND 9 MANDALS AS MODERATE DROUGHT AFFECTED IN PRAKASAM DISTRICT.

ANNEXURE-I

NOTIFICATION

In the circumstances reported by the District Collector, Prakasam, the Government hereby declare that Drought exists during the Rabi 2017 -18 in 18 Mandals annexed to this order. The District Collector, Prakasam is requested to take necessary further action and notify the specific Mandals/specific areas in the Mandal in the District Gazette to enable farmers to avail credit facilities and to take up relief operations. The concerned District Collector shall ensure deletion of the notified Municipal/Urban areas and areas falling under permanent assured irrigation sources where water is being supplied for crops from drought affected Mandals though for purpose of drinking water only they shall be treated on par with drought affected Mandals.
