DECLARATION OF THE ANCIENT FORT SITUATED IN NOSSAM VILLAGE, SANJAMALA MANDAL, KURNOOL DISTRICT TO BE A PROTECTED MONUMENT.

N O T I F I C A T I O N

Whereas, it has been brought to the notice of the Government of Andhra Pradesh that the ancient Fort situated in Nossam Village, Sanjamala Mandal, Kurnool District, as specified in the appended Schedule, is considered to be of Archaeological and Historical importance;

And whereas, the Government are of the opinion that the ancient Fort situated in Nossam Village, Sanjamala Mandal, Kurnool District requires protection under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Act VII of 1960);

And whereas, the Government, have issued Notification in the G.O.Ms.No.76, YAT & C (PMU) Department, Dated 22-10-2010 and the same has been published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.613-A, Part-I, Dated: 02-11-2010 at Page No.1, its intention to declare the said ancient Fort to be a protected monument by giving two months notice as required under sub- section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act; [ 1 ] 2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-I

And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received by the Government to the declaration of the said the ancient Fort situated in Nossam Village, Sanjamala Mandal, Kurnool District, to be a protected monument during the said period of two months.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Act VII of 1960) and in supersession of the orders issued in G.O. Ms. No.120, YAT&C Deptt., Dt: 15.11.2011 the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declares that the ancient Fort situated in Nossam Village, Sanjamala Mandal, Kurnool District, as specified in the Schedule to be a protected monument as the same having been previously published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette as required under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act.

The ancient Fort situated in Nossam Village, Sanjamala Mandal, Kurnool District in Survey No.416,438,439,441, 446 and 448 with an extent of Acres 6.90 cents bounded by the following:

East : 444-448-Pakki Reddy, B. Venkata Reddy etc. West : 416 (PART) 1500 Road North : 498 - 504 K. Rashnna, Nadipi Maddila South : 416 Village site
