DECLARATION OF SRI MAHALAKSHMI MAHANKALI AMMAVARLA TEMPLE, WEST VIPPARRU VILLAGE, PENTAPADU MANDAL, WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT.

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, it has been brought to the notice of the Government of Andhra Pradesh that the Ancient Temple Sri Mahalakshmi-Mahankali Ammavarla Temple, West Vipparru Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District, as specified in the appended Schedule, is considered to be of Archaeological and Historical importance ;

And whereas, the Government are of the opinion that Sri Mahalakshmi - Mahankali Ammavarla Temple, West Vipparru Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District requires protection under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Act VII of 1960) ;

And whereas, the Government, have issued Notification in the G.O.Ms. No. 106, YAT & C (PMU) Department, Dated: 06-09-2011 and the same has been published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.546-C, Part - I, Dated : 20-09-2011 at page.No.3 & 4 its intention to declare the said Ancient Temple to be a protected monument by giving two months notice as required under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act ; [1] 2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-I

And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received by the Government to the declaration of the said Sri Mahalakshmi-Mahankali Ammavarla Temple, West Vipparru Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District, to be a protected monument during the said period of two months.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (3) of Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Act VII of 1960) and in supersession of the orders issued in G.O. Ms. No.59, YAT&C Deptt., Dated : 26.04.2012 the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declares that the Ancient Sri Mahalakshmi Mahankali Ammavarla Temple, West Vipparru Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District as specified in the Schedule to be a protected monument as the same having been previously published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette as required under sub - section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

The Ancient Sri Mahalakshmi-Mahankali Ammavarla Temple, West Vipparru Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District in Survey No. 562/1 with extent of land Acres 0.17 Cents bounded by the following :

East : Vacant site and house of Suravarapu Nageswara Rao West : Road

North : Road

South : House of Pilli Musalaiah and House of

Butta Nageswara Rao.
