VISHAKHAPATNAM METRO RAIL PROJECT – DECLARATION OF THE AREA COVERED BY THE GREATER VISAKHAPATNAM MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AS METROPOLITAN AREA OF VISAKHAPATNAM UNDER CLAUSE(C) OF ARTICLE 243P OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE INDIA SO AS TO EXTEND THE PROVISIONS OF THE METRO RAILWAYS (CONSTRUCTION OF WORKS) ACT,1978 AND THE METRO RAILWAYS (OPERATION MAINTENANCE) ACT,2002 BY THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause(c) of Article 243P of the Constitution of the India, and in supersession of the notification issued in G.O. Ms No.231 MA & UD dated the 16th June 2017 and published at page-1 of part-1 extra-Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 16th June 2017, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby specifies the area covered by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam to be the Metropolitan area of the Visakhapatnam for the purpose of developing Visakhapatnam Metro Rail Project under the provisions of Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 and the Metro Railways (Operation and Maintenance) Act, 2002.
