PROHIBITION OF STRIKES IN THE ANDHRA PRADESH STATE ROAD TRANSPORT CORPORATION FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

NOTIFICATION
Whereas, a Notification was issued in G.O.Ms.No. 180, Transport Roads and Buildings Department, dated the 7th June, 1980, declaring any service under the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation as an essential service under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 ( Andhra Pradesh Act 20 of 1971) ;
And whereas, orders were issued in G.O.Ms.No. 18, Transport Roads and Buildings Department, Dated : 01.06.2017 prohibiting strikes for a period of six months with effect from 01.06.2017 in any service under the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation constituted under the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950 (Act 64 of 1950) and the said period was expired ;
2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-IAnd whereas, Government have considered that in the public interest, it is necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in any service under the control of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation for a period of six months ;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Andhra Pradesh Act 20 of 1971), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibit strikes in any service under the control of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation constituted under the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950 (Act 64 of 1950) for a period of six months with immediate effect.
