ELECTION SCHEDULE FOR CONDUCT OF CASUAL ELECTION TO THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY MAYOR, ELURU MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.
NOTIFICATION
No. 93/SEC-F1/2018: In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 9, 10 and 90 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1955 read with Section 14 of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1994 and Rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations (Conduct of Election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor) Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the District Collector or Joint Collector, West Godavari District authorized by the Election Authority & Director of Municipal Administration, A.P. to conduct election to the casual vacancy for the office of Deputy Mayor in Eluru Municipal Corporation in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Acts and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said election in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

| 1. | Notice to be given in Form-II by the District Collector or Joint Collector of West Godavari District authorized by the Election Authority calling for a Special Meeting for conduct of casual election of Deputy Mayor, Eluru Municipal Corporation. ( This Notice should be given to all the elected Members and Ex-officio Members of Eluru Municipal Corporation) | On or before 30.07.2018 |
| 2. | Date and Time of the Special Meeting for the election of Deputy Mayor, Eluru Municipal Corporation | At 11:00 AM on 03.08.2018 |
NOTE:- If for any reason election to the office of Deputy Mayor notified for election is not held on 03.08.2018, it shall be held at 11:00 AM on the next day, i.e., on 04.08.2018 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Urban Local Body.
