ELECTION SCHEDULE FOR CONDUCT OF CASUAL ELECTION TO CHAIRPERSON & VICE- CHAIRPERSON OF VUYYURU AND MADAKASIRA NAGAR PANCHAYATS.
NOTIFICATION
No.25/SEC-F2/2018: In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10 A and 10 B of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, (Act 6 of 1965) and rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice- Chairperson) Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Gazetted Officers of the Government authorized by the Collectors and District Election Authorities concerned to conduct election to fill up the casual vacancies in the offices of Chairpersons / Vice-Chairpersons of Nagar Panchayats indicated in the table below in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for election to the said vacancies in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

ANNEXURE
ELECTION SCHEDULE
| 1. | Notice to be given in Form-II by the Gazetted Officers authorized by the Collector and District Election Authority calling for a special meeting for conduct of election of Chairperson / Vice-Chairperson of Nagar Panchayat. ( This Notice should be given to all the elected members and ex-officio members of Nagar Panchayats concerned). | On or before 30.07.2018 |
| 2. | Date and Time of election meeting. | At 11:00 AM on 03.08.2018 |
NOTE:-
1. If for any reason election to any of the said vacancies is not held on 03.08.2018, it shall be held at 11:00 AM on the next day, i.e., on 04.08.2018 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Nagar Panchayat concerned.
2. As election to Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Vuyyuru Nagar Panchayat is to be held in pursuance of this notification, under Sub-Rule 4 of Rule 6 of A.P. Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson) Rules, 2005, only after completion of election of Chairperson, the Presiding Officer shall conduct the election of Vice-Chairperson.
