ANDHRA PRADESH STATE ELECTION COMMISSION
ELECTION SCHEDULE FOR CONDUCT OF CASUAL ELECTION TO CHAIRPERSON & VICE-CHAIRPERSON OF AMALAPURAM MUNICIPALITY.
NOTIFICATION
No.25/SEC-F2/2018: In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10 A and 10 B of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, (Act 6 of 1965) and rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice- Chairperson) Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Gazetted Officer of the Government authorized by the Collector and District Election Authority, East Godavari to conduct election to the casual vacancies of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Amalapuram Municipality in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said election in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

ELECTION SCHEDULE
(Notification No. 25/SEC-F2/2018, Date: 30.11.2018)
| 1. | Notice to be given in Form-II by the Gazetted Officer authorized by the Collector and District Election Authority calling for a special meeting for conduct of election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Amalapuram Municipality. ( This Notice should be given to all the elected members and ex-officio members of Amalapuram Municipality). | On or before 07.12.2018 |
| 2. | Date and Time of election meeting. | At 11:00 AM on 11.12.2018 |
NOTE:-
1. As election to Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Amalapuram Municipality is to be held in pursuance of this notification, under Sub-Rule 4 of Rule 6 of A.P. Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson) Rules, 2005, only after completion of election of Chairperson, the Presiding Officer shall conduct the election of Vice-Chairperson.
2. If for any reason election is not held on 11.12.2018, it shall be held at 11:00 AM on the next day, i.e., on 12.12.2018 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Municipality.
