EXTENSION OF THE TERM OF SPECIAL OFFICERS IN RESPECT OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS, MUNICIPALITY AND NAGAR PANCHAYATS.

NOTIFICATION

W hereas, the term of the Special Officers of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Guntur Municipal Corporation, Ongole Municipal Corporation, Tirupathi Municipal Corporation, Kurnool Municipal Corporation, Kandukur Municipality and Nagar Panchayats of Rajampet, Nellimarla & Rajam expired on 31-12-2018.

And whereas, Government is of the opinion that ordinary elections to the above Urban Local Bodies could not be held in accordance with the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, the

Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporations Act, 1981, the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1994 due to pending Court Cases in respect of certain Urban Local Bodies.
