SANCTION OF EIGHT (8) SPECIAL COURTS IN THE CADRE OF DISTRICT JUDGE IN THE DISTRICTS OF CHITTOOR, EAST GODAVARI, GUNTUR, KRISHNA, SPS NELLORE, PRAKASAM, VISAKHAPATNAM AND WEST GODAVARI FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROVIDING A SPEEDY TRIAL OF OFFENCES UNDER THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES ACT, 2012 (POCSO ACT).

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 28 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (Act No.32 of 2012) , the Government in consultation with the Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Andhra Pradesh and in compliance with the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Dated : 25-07-2019, in SUO MOTU Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 1/2019 hereby sanction Eight (8) Special Courts in the Cadre of District Judge in the Districts of Chittoor, East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, SPS Nellore, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari for the purposes of providing a speedy trial of offences under said Act, 2012.
