SANCTION OF EIGHT (8) SPECIAL COURTS IN THE CADRE OF DISTRICT JUDGE IN THE DISTRICTS OF CHITTOOR, EAST GODAVARI, GUNTUR, KRISHNA, SPS NELLORE, PRAKASAM, VISAKHAPATNAM AND WEST GODAVARI FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROVIDING A SPEEDY TRIAL OF OFFENCES UNDER THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES ACT, 2012 (POCSO ACT) - SPECIFYING PLACES OF SITTING OF COURTS.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the Special Courts for the trial of offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act) in the cadre of Additional District and Sessions Judge for eight (8) Districts viz., Chittoor, East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, SPSR Nellore, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari will sit at Chittoor, Kakinada, Guntur, Vijayawada, Nellore, Ongole, Visakhapatnam and Eluru respectively.
