SANCTION OF EIGHT (8) SPECIAL COURTS IN THE CADRE OF DISTRICT JUDGE IN THE DISTRICTS OF CHITTOOR, EAST GODAVARI, GUNTUR, KRISHNA, SPS NELLORE, PRAKASAM, VISAKHAPATNAM AND WEST GODAVARI FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROVIDING A SPEEDY TRIAL OF OFFENCES UNDER THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES ACT, 2012 (POCSO ACT).
JUDICIAL NOTIFICATION
Memo.No. 2161, (P)/Courts.A/A2/2019,- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (6) of Section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the High Court of Andhra Pradesh hereby specifies that with effect on and from the date of the Officer posted assumes charge, the Additional District and Sessions Judge of eight (8) Districts viz., Chittoor, East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, SPSR Nellore, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari as sanctioned in G.O.Ms.No. 121, Law (LA & J Home Cts.A) Department, dated 26.9.2019 shall sit at "Chittoor", "Kakinada", "Guntur", "Vijayawada", "Nellore", "Ongole", "Visakhapatnam" and "Eluru" respectively and dispose of cases relating to trial of offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act) are made over to them by the Sessions Judges.
