NOTIFICATION

No.1768/SEC-F1/2021 Date: 01.11.2021

WHEREAS, the State Election Commission issued Notification in Ref.No.1764/SEC- F1/2021-1 & 2, Dt. 01.11.2021 for conduct of Ordinary elections to all the Ward Members of Nellore Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, the State Election Commission issued Notifications in Ref.No.1766/SEC-F1/2021-1,2,3 & 4 Dt. 01.11.2021 for conduct of Casual elections to certain Ward Members of Greater Visakhapatnam and 6other Municipal Corporations;

AND WHEREAS, the State Election Commission decided to issue Symbol Notification specifying the names of the Recognised National Parties, Recognised State parties in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Recognised State parties in other States, Registered Political parties with reserved symbol and Registered Political parties without reserved symbol and list of Free Symbols for the purpose of conduct of said elections;

NOW, THEREFORE, under Section 34 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1955, read with Section 7 of Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Act,1979,and Sections 11 and 14 of A.P. Municipal Corporations Act, 1994, and Paragraph 10 of the Registration of Political Parties and Allotment of Symbols Order, 2001 and in supersession of the previous Symbol Notifications issued on the subject in respect of Member of Municipal Corporation, the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission, hereby, specifies:-

(a) In Table-I : The Recognised National Parties, Recognised State Parties in the State of Andhra Pradesh and the Recognised State Parties in other States and the Symbols respectively reserved for them;

(b) In Table-II : The Registered Political Parties with reserved symbol and the Symbol respectively reserved for them;

(c) In Table-III : The Registered Political Parties without reserved symbol;

(d) In Table-IV : List of Free Symbols for Member, Municipal Corporations;

Under Rule 62-A of A.P Municipal Corporations (Conduct of Election of Members) Rules, 2005, the symbol for "None of the Above (NOTA)" is also specified in Table-V of this Notification for information of the voters, candidates, political parties and election officials.
