NOTIFICATION

No.1918/SEC-F1/2021-2 Date: 18.11.2021 WHEREAS, the State Election Commission issued Notification No.1766/SEC- F1/2021-1,2,3&4, dated 01.11.2021 for conduct of elections to fill up certain casual vacancies in Greater Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Guntur and Ananthapuramu Municipal Corporations as per which the polling was held on 15.11.2021 and the process of counting of votes and declaration of results was completed on 17.11.2021;

AND WHEREAS, Section 66 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1955, stipulates that "as soon as may be after the result of an election has been declared, the Returning Officer shall report the result to the Commissioner and State Election Commissioner who shall cause to be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette the declarations containing the names of the elected candidates";

AND WHEREAS, the State Election Commission requested the Commissioners of the said Municipal Corporations to furnish the list of names of elected Ward Members, along with Party affiliation, if any, declared elected in the casual elections held in their respective jurisdiction immediately after counting of votes and declaration of results so as to enable the Commission to get them published in the A.P. Gazette;

AND WHEREAS, the Commissioners & Additional Election Authorities of the said Municipal Corporations have submitted the names of the Ward Members declared elected at casual elections held in the said Municipal Corporations to the State Election Commission;

NOW, THEREFORE, under Section 66 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1955, read with Section 7 of Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Act, 1979 and Section 14 of A.P. Municipal Corporations Act, 1994, the State Election Commission, hereby, publishes the names of the candidates declared elected as Ward Members at casual election held in Greater Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Guntur and Ananthapuramu Municipal Corporations as indicated below:
