In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 13 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with Rule 1 of the Rules framed with regard to appointment of Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class / Special Metropolitan Magistrates, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby confers 2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE, December 23, 2021 particular cases or particular classes of cases, as may be specified by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kurnool District, to enable them to function as Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class, in their respective stations in Kurnool District, for a period of 2 years, from the date they assume charge of their respective posts as such, or till they attain the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, subject to condition that if any individual refuses / fails to join duty within fifteen (15) days from the date of issue of the notification, his / her claim to the said post shall be forfeited and that the services of the officer appointed shall be liable to be terminated without any notice.

Under sub-section (1) of Section 14 and sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kurnool District, may issue special orders defining the local limits from time to time and also as to the distribution of the business among the Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class to exercise the powers in their respective stations.
