ORDER :
In the reference 1st read above , Government of India have decided to constitute the State Level Committee on Standardization ( SLCS ) with the Composition and Terms of Reference. The GOI proposed that the Chief Secretary of the State and Secretary in charge of the Consumer Affairs Department of the State shall be the Chairperson and Member Secretary of the SLCS respectively . Head of BIS Branch Offices in the State shall render the necessary assistance to the Member Secretary in convening the meetings of SLCS and taking follow - up action on its decisions . The GOI has requested to constitute the SLCS and ensure that it functions effectively to realise the goals creating a robust quality ecosystem in the country . As per GOI notification dated 8-4- 2021 the SLCS has to be constituted with the following Composition and Terms of Reference:

B. Terms of reference of the Committee:
i ) Identifying areas for the formulation of new Indian Standards .
ii ) Identifying products , processes and systems for enforcing compliance with Indian Standards .
iii ) Measures for effective implementation of Quality Control Orders ( QCOS ) issued by Govt of India .
iv ) Measures for awareness generation among consumers regarding Standards .
v) Any other activity to create a robust quality eco - system in the State .
C. The representatives of non - govt . bodies shall be nominated by the Chairperson of the SLCS and the term of their engagement be three years . They can , however , be re- nominated .
D. The Committee shall meet at least twice a year, and as many more times , as deemed fit by the Chairperson .
Ε. Heads of the BIS Branch Offices in the State shall provide necessary support to the Member Secretary to convene the meetings and take follow - up action on the decisions taken in them . Head of the BIS Branch Office located in the State capital shall be the Nodal Branch Office for this purpose.
2 . The Commissioner of Civil Supplies , AP , Vijayawada in his letter dated 17-12- 2021 has furnished the details of the composition for the constitution of State Level Committee on Standardization .
3. After careful examination , Government is hereby constitute the Andhra Pradesh State Level Committee on Standardization with the following composition :
