THE ANDHRA PRADESH METROPOLITAN REGION AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES ACT, 2016 (ACT NO.5 OF 2016) – CONSTITUTION OF BAPATLA URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (BAUDA), BAPATLA WITH HEAD QUARTERS AT BAPATLA [G.O.Ms.No.191, Municipal Administration & Urban Development (H1) Department, 26th December, 2022]

NOTIFICATION-I

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016), the Government of Andhra Pradesh having regard to the need for the promotion of development activities relating to as a Urban Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc. hereby specify a special Urban Development Area for the area comprised within the jurisdiction of Bapatla covering 2 ULBs, 163 Villages in 14 Mandals with an extent of 1864.09 Sq.km. with Head Quarters at Bapatla and population of 8,70,074 and villages as specified in the Schedule appended to this notification to be a Urban Development Area for the purpose of the said Act and the said Area shall be as "Bapatla Urban Development Area (BAUDA)".

NOTIFICATION – II

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (ii) of subsection (3) of section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby constitute an Urban Development Authority for the area specified in the Notification – I above for the purpose of the said Act and the said Authority shall be called as the "Bapatla Urban Development Authority (BAUDA)" and shall consist of the following members, namely:-

a)	The Chairperson to be appointed by the Government;
b)	the 'Vice-Chairperson' – who is a Government Officer to be appointed by the Government, shall be the whole time Chief Executive Officer of the Authority and shall be the	Member Convener
c)	OSD /Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department	Member;
d)	Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Finance Department - Member;	Member;
e)	Officers not more than four, dealing with Transportation, Roads & Buildings, Energy, 12 Environment or such other departments as may be deemed necessary by the Government	Members;
f)	District Collector of the development area	Member;
g)	Director of Town & Country Planning or his nominee	Member;
And
h)	Three experts of national or international repute who possess knowledge in urban governance, urban planning, conservation, environment and transportation to be appointed by the Government	Members;

(2) Any other officer or expert whom the Government thinks necessary may be invited to the meetings of the authority as special invitee.
