ORDER:

Government in the reference 2nd read above have issued orders by creating Six Hundred and Seventy Nine (679) supernumerary posts of Deputy Tahsildars for two (2) years instead of up-gradation, duly suppressing equal number of Sr.Assts/RIs Posts from their cadre strength.

2. The Commissioner, SS & LR, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada in the reference 3rd read above has informed that Government in G.O.Rt.No.530, LAW (L.A.&J-HOME- COURTS-B) Department, dated 07.06.2021 issued orders that Special Executive Magistrate Powers were conferred to all the Deputy Tahsildals working on regular basis in the Mandals and who are proposed to be a Member in the Mandal Mobile Teams to hear appeals if any received against 9 (2) notices and 10 (2) Notices issued under A.P.S&B Act, 1923 during YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku and Bhu Raksha programme and requested the Government to take further action for issuing orders in consultation with Law Department, appointing the Deputy Tahsildars (679) (Re-Survey) also as Special Executive Magistrates to hear and dispose the appeals received against 9(2) notices and 10(2) notices issued under Andhra Pradesh S&B Act, 1923 during the Re-survey operations of Agricultural Lands as well as Gramakantam lands/Abadi. 3. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Dated. 05.01.2023.

Notification

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoint the newly created Deputy Tahsildars (679) (Re-Survey), who are appointed to the above programme and can be called as Dy.Thasildars (Re-Survey) as Special Executive Magistrates w.e.f the date of issue of Notification till the completion of Re-Survey programme in their respective Mandals as Executive Magistrates to be known as Special Executive Magistrates and confer on them the powers under sections 107 to 124, 129 to 144, 174 (4) and 176 of the code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) in their respective jurisdictions as allotted by the Government.

4. The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration & Special Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh and the Commissioner of Survey, Settlements and Land Records, Andhra Pradesh are requested to take necessary action according in the matter.
