O R D E R:
In the letter read above, the Member Secretary (District & Sessions Judge), Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, has informed that as per sub-Rule (2) of Rule 4 of Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and other Persons) Rules, 2003, the persons shall hold the office for a term of five (5) years or till the age of 65 years whichever is earlier and shall not be eligible for reappointment. The members nominated for the PLAPUSs of Anantapuramu, East Godavari, Guntur and Krishna Districts vide G.O.Ms.No.743, Law (Home.Courts-B) Department, dated 12.09.2017 and G.O.Rt.No.905, Law (Home.Courts-B) Department, dated 22.11.2017 have completed the age of 65 years and hence fresh nominations are to be made. Hence, in the place of the members who completed the age of 65 years, fresh recommendations are made by the Hon'ble Executive Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, as provided under Section 22 (B) of Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.
P.T.O::2:: 2. The Government of India vide notification No.430, dated 22.06.2016 amended Rule 4(2) of Permanent Lok Adalat (other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and other persons) Rules, 2003 and accordingly the Chairman and other Members shall hold office for a term of 5 years or till the age of Sixty five years, whichever is earlier.
3. The Member Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, has furnished the panel of names to the State Government for nomination of members to the 4 PLAPUS at Anantapuramu, East Godavari, Guntur, and Krishna as directed by the Hon'ble Chief Justice, High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, here by accept the proposal of the Member Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority for nomination of members to the 4 PLAPUS at Anantapuramu, East Godavari, Guntur,a nd Krishna as Annexed to this order.
5. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in the Extra-Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 27.02.2023.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 22 B (2) of Legal Services Act. Government of Andhra Pradesh in consultation with the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority hereby nominate other Members to the (04) Four Permanent Lok Adalats for Public Utility Services at Anantapuramu, East Godavari, Guntur, and Krishna accordingly, the members shall hold the office for a term of 5 years or till the age of sixty five years, whichever is earlier with effect from the date of Notification as indicated in the Annexure appended to this order.
