ABSTRACT
Department for Women , Children , Differently Abled & Senior Citizens Andhra Pradesh State Subordinate Service Rules qualification to all the employees with benchmark disabilities of Blindness Telugu Typewriting and Low vision Exemption from acquiring the qualification of Typewriting in Telugu in relaxation of Rules - Orders Issued .

ORDER :
In the reference 1st read above , the Collector and District Magistrate , Krishna District has requested for waiving of passing of Higher Typewriting in Telugu in respect of Sri Tata Naga Raju , a 100 % Visually Challenged Typist of O/ o the District Medical & Health Officer , Krishna District.
2. In the reference 2nd read above , the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities under RPwD Act 2016 had informed that lot of developments have emerged in information and communication technology . Type machines were replaced by Computers , Typing interface in Telugu using English alphabets was developed and Speech to text in Telugu is also developed . These are available in open source also . There is no Braille facility to take Telugu Typewriting test in the State.
3. Further , he has submitted that as per the provisions of the RPwD Act 2016 , Government has to provide reasonable accommodation and appropriate barrier free and conducive environment to employees with disability .

In view of the provisions of the RPwD Act 2016 , and the latest developments in the Information and communication technology , the Director , Welfare of Differently Abled , Transgender and Senior Citizens , A.P. has proposed to provide relaxation to all the employees with benchmark disabilities of Blindness and Low Vision from passing Telugu Typewriting qualification .
5. Government after careful examination of the matter , have decided to give exemption to all the employees with benchmark disabilities of Blindness and Low Vision from passing Telugu Typewriting in relaxation of the rules .
6. Now , therefore , Government hereby order exemption to all the employees with benchmark disabilities of Blindness and Low Vision from passing Telugu Typewriting in relaxation of the rules .
