ORDER :
Whereas vide reference 1st read above , the Government of India have enacted the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act , 2016;
2. And whereas vide G.O. 2nd read above , the Andhra Pradesh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules , 2023 have been notified ;
3. And Whereas Section 66 of the said Act , provide for ' every State Government shall , by notification , constitute a body to be known as the state Advisory Board on disability to exercise the powers conferred on and to perform the function assigned to it , under the Act ;
4. Now , therefore , the Government of Andhra Pradesh , constitute the State Advisory Board on disability ;
5. Accordingly , the following Notification will be published in the Extra Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette , Dated : 04.05.2023 .
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 66 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act , 2016 read with Rule 25 of the Andhra Pradesh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules , 2023 , the State Government hereby constitute the State Advisory Board on Disability consisting of the following members as required under Section 66 of the said Act :
Chairperson , ex officio
a. The Minister in charge of the Department in the State Government dealing with disability matters
(Ρ.Τ.Ο) b . Special Chief Secretaries / Prl . Secretaries / Secretaries to the State Government in charge of the following Departments :
1. Women , Children , Differently Abled & Senior Citizens Department
2. School Education Department
3. Higher Education Department
4. Finance Department
5. General Administration Department
6. Home Department
Members, ex officio 7. Health , Medical and Family Welfare Department
8. Panchayat Raj & Rural Department Development
9. Labour , Factories , Boilers and Insurance Medical Services Department
10. Skill Development , Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department .
11. Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department
12. ITE & C Department
13. Youth Advancement , Tourism & Culture Department

Member- Secretary , ex officio e . Additional Secretary/ Joint Secretary to Government, Department for Women, Children, Differently Abled & Senior Citizens
A Member of the State Advisory Board nominated under clause ( e) of subsection ( 2 ) of section 66 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act , 2016 , shall hold office for three years from the date of his / her nomination .
The State Advisory Board shall meet at least once in every six months .
The Terms and conditions of service of members , disqualification , vacation of seats , meetings of State Advisory Board on Disability and functions of State Advisory Board on Disability shall be as provided under relevant sections of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act , 2016 in respect of State Advisory Board onDisability.
The Director , Welfare of Differently Abled , Transgender & Senior Citizens Department , Government of Andhra Pradesh , shall take necessary action accordingly.
