Date: 18.03.2025 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 200 and 201 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and the Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Member (Co-opted), President and Vice-Presidents of Mandal Praja Parishads and Members (Co-opted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006 issued in G.O.Ms.No.173, P.R. & R.D. (Elections) Department, dtd.10.05.2006 and Andhra Pradesh Ordinance No. 9 of 2021 (Published in the A.P. Gazette on 03.08.2021), the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority of Kurnool to conduct election of Member (Co-opted), Zilla Praja Parishad, Kurnool in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Rules and specifies the schedule for the elections to the said offices in the Annexure appended.

ELECTION SCHEDULE
| 1. | Notice to be given in Form-VI by the District Collector, calling for Special Meeting for conduct of election of Member (Co- opted), Zilla Praja Parishad, Kurnool. (This notice should be given to all the Members of Zilla Praja Parishad specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of Sec.177(3) of Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act 1994) | On or before 23.03.2025 |

| a) Receipt of Nominations | Before 10.00 AM on 27.03.2025 | |

Note:
1. Quorum for the election of Member (Co-opted) shall be fulfilled as stipulated under Rule 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Member (Co-opted), President and Vice-Presidents of Mandal Praja Parishads and Members (Co-opted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006.
2. If the list of validly nominated candidates for Member (Co-opted) is not prepared due to non-filing of nominations or withdrawal of all candidatures after preparation of list of validly nominated candidates, the Presiding Officer need not take up the election process on the next day and the matter shall be reported to the State Election Commission to fix another date for holding the special meeting.
3. In case the election of Member (Co-opted) could not be held after publication of list of validly nominated candidates on 27.03.2025, the election of Member (Co-opted) shall be taken up at 11:00 AM on 28.03.2025 whether or not it is a holiday observed by the Zilla Praja Parishad, after the quorum is fulfilled. However, no fresh nominations shall be accepted on the second day.
