Date:12.05.2025 In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243K of the Constitution of India, Sections 200 and 201 of A.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 read with Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Member (Co-opted), President and Vice-Presidents of Mandal Praja Parishads and Members (Co- opted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs any Gazetted Officer of the Government authorized by the Collectors & District Election Authorities concerned to conduct elections to the casual vacancies of Presidents / Vice-Presidents of the Mandal Praja Parishad shown below in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Rules and specifies the election schedule in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

ELECTION SCHEDULE
| 1. | Notice to be given in Form-V (with slight modification, i.e., deletion of Para 2 of the Notice) of the Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Member (Co-opted), President and Vice-Presidents of Mandal Praja Parishads and Members (Co-opted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006, by the Gazetted Officer authorized by District Collector, calling for Special Meeting for conduct of election of the President / Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad. ( Notice shall be given to all Members of Mandal Praja Parishad specified in clauses (i) to (v) of Section 149 (1) of A.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1994) | On or before 15.05.2025 |

Note:
1. Quorum shall not be insisted in the Special Meeting for election of President / Vice- President as per Rule 9 (2) of the Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Member (Co-opted), President and Vice-Presidents of Mandal Praja Parishads and Members (Co-opted), Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006, as the election could not be completed in the earlier Special Meetings for want of quorum and other reasons.
2. In respect of Attili MPP, election to the office of the Vice-President shall not be conducted unless the office of the President is filled up. Only after completion of the election of the President, the Presiding Officer shall conduct the election of the Vice- President as stipulated under Rule 10 (4) of the said rules.
3. If for any reason, the election of President / Vice-President is not held on the date fixed aforesaid, the matter shall be reported to the State Election Commission to fix another date for holding election.
