(EVICTION OF UNAUTHORISED OCCUPANTS) (AMENDMENT) Act, 2025

to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 2003 (Act No. 2 of 2003).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Seventy-Sixth year of the Republic of India as follows:
(1) Short title and Commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) (Amendment) Act, 2025.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Insertion of Second proviso under clause (iii) of Section 12:
In the Arunachal Pradesh Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 2003 (Act No. 2 of 2003), in Section 12, under clause (iii) after the first proviso, the following second proviso shall be inserted:
"Provided further that the State Government may, by notification, appoint any other officer, not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner, as appellate authority where the Deputy Commissioner while acting as an Estate Officer has passed an order against which appeal is filed".
