PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION
The 11th May, 2026
Issued Under Section 11(1) Read with Section 40(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and
Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Invoking Urgency Clause)
No. LMD-13011(13)/32/2026/332.— WHEREAS, it appears to the Governor, that a total of 0.880 Hectares (8,800 Sqmtr) of land is required at Wakka, Wakka Circle, Wakka Taluk/Sub Division/Tehsil/Block Longding District for public purposes, namely establishment of Entry/Exit crossing point Free Movement Regime (FMR) at Wakka by the 44 Assam Rifles, PIN-932-044, C/o-99 APO (requiring body).
A total of NIL families are likely to be displaced due to the land acquisition. The reason necessitating such is given below.
The Deputy Commissioner Longding District is appointed as Administrator for the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement of the affected families. Therefore, it is notified that for the above said project in the Wakka, Wakka Circle, Wakka Taluk/Sub Division/Tehsil/Block Longding District a piece of land measuring 0.880 Hectares (8,800 Sqmtr) of standard measurement, whose detailed description is as follows, is under acquisition :

This notification is made under the provision of Section 40(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Reghabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
A plan of the land may be inspected in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Collector and DLRSO on any working day during the working hours.
The Governor is pleased to authorize Deputy Commissioner Longding, 44 Assam Rifles, PIN-932 044, C/o 99 APO and their staff to enter upon and survey land, take levels of any land, dig or bore into the sub-soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their work as provided and specified in Section 12 of the said Act.
Under Section 11(4) of the Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase, etc. or create any encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of such notification without prior approval of the collector.
The provisions of sub-sections (1), (2) and sub-section (3) of Section 40 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 are applicable to the publication of the preliminary notification under sub-section (1) of Section 11;

Since, the land is urgently required for the project falling within the purview of Section 40 (4), it has been decided not to carry out the social impact assessment study. A.K.
