NOTIFICATION

No. AR/215/2025-AR (E-Comp No. 274546)/272.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 20 of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board Rules, 2018 (Act No. 14 of 2018), the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is hereby pleased to make the following rules further to amend " The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board, 2018", namely;
1. Short title and commencement: (i) These rules may be called "The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2026.
(ii) They shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Rule : In the Principal Rules in Rule 16 sub-rule (4), for the existing entries, the
following entries, shall be substituted, namely :-
"A Reserved list or wait list shall be prepared, which would contain names of candidates equal to 20% of the total vacancy or 5 names of candidates, whichever is higher, in order of merit, for each category of posts.
In case candidates selected do not become available for appointment, within the stipulated time allowed for joining the post or where a candidate joins but resigns, dies or cancellation of candidature of selected candidates within the period of one (1) year from the date of its publication or till the publication of result of the next recruitment examination, whichever is earlier, such vacancy would be filled up from Wait list subject to number of advertised vacancies".

The principal Rules were notified vide Notification No. AR-68/2018 dated 15th November, 2018 and the APSSB (Amendment) Rules were notified vide Notification No. AR-27012/2/2022-SECT-1-AR Dated 14th August, 2023.
