NOTIFICATION

No. DWCD-32014/4/2021(E-14012).--- In terms of Rules 87 of the Arunachal Pradesh Juvenile
Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2020, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to re-constitute the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC) to recommend the panel of candidates for appointment of the Chairperson and Members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWCs) and Social Worker Members of the Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) in the State with immediate effect. The tenure of the Committee shall be 5 (five) years from the date of this Notification. The State Level Selection Committee shall comprise the following members :
| 1. | Shri Marnya Ete, Retired Secretary to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh having experience in Social Welfare. | - | Chairperson |
| 2. | Director, Women & Child Development Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. | - | Member Secretary |
| 3. | President, Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) Or his/her representative. | - | Member |
| 4. | Representative, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar. | - | Member |
| 5. | Head of Department, Sociology, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh or his/her representative. | - | Member |
| 6. | Head of Department, Law, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh or his/her representative. | - | Member |
| 7. | Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR). | - | Member |
The functions of the State Level Selection Committee shall be governed by the provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2020 and the Department of Women and Child Development shall function as the nodal department for convening meetings of the State Level Selection Committee.
