DECLARATION
The 28th August, 2026
(Under Section (19) of the Right of Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013)
No.LMD-13011(11)/10/2026/1147.—WHEREAS, it appears to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh that a total of 7.16 Acres of land is required at Maro under Maro Circle of Upper Subansiri District.
AND WHEREAS, a preliminary notification as required under Section 11 of LARR Act, 2013 was issued by the Department of Land Management vide Memo No.LMD-13011(11)/10/2026/287 dated Itanagar the 19th May, 2026, notifying the intention of the State Government for acquiring of 7.16 Acres of the said land and inviting public claims and objections to the proposed acquisition of land if any.
AND WHEREAS, the Deputy Commissioner, Upper Subansiri District, Daporijo vide his Memo No. LM/DRJ-83/Hiring/2023/405 dated 11th August, 2026, certified that land is a private land and free from public and Government projects and that there are no project affected families and therefore no compensation towards Rehabilitation and Resettlement are required to be paid under Section 31 of the LARR Act and has requested the State Govenment to issue the draft declaration under Section 19 of the LARR Act, 2013.
AND WHEREAS, the Appropriate Government is pleased to note that it is satisfied that Chapters -II and III and Section - 15 and 16 shall not apply to acquisition process in respect of the said land for establishing Defence unit.
AND NOW, therefore the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to issue the Declaration under Section 19 of the Act specifying that the piece of land measuring 7.16 Acres located at Maro under Maro Circle of Upper Subansiri District, Arunachal Pradesh, is being acquired, the detailed description whereof is as follows:-

Variety Number Type Plinth Area 2 The Arunachal Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette, August 31, 2026 The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is further pleased to order as under:- (i) The except such parts of the mines and minerals which may be required to be dug or removed or used during construction phase of the project for the purposed of which land is being acquired, no mines, iron, stone, slate and other minerals lying under the said land shall be extracted or removed.
(ii) A plan of the land may be inspected in the Office of the Collector and DLRSO, Upper Subansiri District on any working day during the working hours.
