THE ARUNACHAL PRADESH FIRE AND
EMERGENCY SERVICES
(AMENDMENT) BILL, 2026

BILL
to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2026
(Act No.12 of 2026);
BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Seventy-Seventh year of the Republic of India, as follows,-
1. Short title and commencement : This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services (Amendment) Act, 2026.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment Section 2 : In the Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2026 (Act No. 12 of 2026) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act),-
(i) In clause (d) of Section 2 the words "National Building Code of India Part - IV (Fire and Safety)" appearing after the word "under" and before the word, "Oil Industry Safety Directorate Guidelines" shall be deleted. '
(ii) Clause (s) of Section 2 shall be deleted.
3. In the Principal Act, in Section 26,-
(i) in sub-section (1),-the words "National Building Codes of India issued by the Ministry of Urban Development" appearing after the word "of" and before the words "the Arunachal Pradesh Building Bye-laws-2019" shall be deleted.
(ii) in sub-section (3), the words "of National Building Codes" appearing after the word "enforcement" and before the words, "by the State" shall be deleted.
4. The Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 is hereby repealed.
Notwithstanding such repeal, any action taken, order issued under the said Ordinance shall be construed to have been taken or issued under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
