NOTIFICATION
The 15th March , 2017
HC.XI - 09/ 2015/26 /RC.- In exercise of the power vested in the High Court under Section 122 of the Code of Civil Procedure , the Gauhati High Court is hereby pleased to make the following Rules to amend the Gauhati High Court Civil Courts Commissioners Rules , 2015 , hereinafter referred to as the Principal Rules , namely:
(i) These Rules may be called the Gauhati High Court Civil Courts Commisioners (Amendement ) Rules, 2017.
(ii) It shall come into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
(iii) in clause ( i ) of Rule 10 in the Principal Rules , the following shall be substituted:

"A Commisioner shall be entitled to a fee of Rs . 500 ( Rupees five hundred) per witness . In case the cross -examination of a witness could not be completed in one day and continued beyond the day , Commisioner's fee shall be Rs . 400 ( Rupees four hundred) per day for such witness . "
