No. PLA.280/2016/Pt/eCF-5481/273.- By virtue of the power vested in me by Sub Section (I) of the Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (as amended), I, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, do hereby appoint Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, Retired Chief Justice, Chhattisgarh High Court, Andhra Pradesh High Court and Sikkim High Court to be the Chairperson of the Assam Human Rights Commission as per Section 21 (2) (a) of the Chapter V of the Act with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
Given at Raj Bhawan, Guwahati on Twenty Fourth day of April in the year Two Thousand Twenty Three in the Seventy Fourth year of the Republic of India.
