No. PLA: 280/2016/PT/eCF-5481/394.- By virtue of the power vested in me by Sub Section (1) of the Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993 (as amended). I, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, do hereby appoint Shri Justice Ajit Borthakur, (Retd.). Former Judge, Gauhati High Court, to be the Member of the Assam Human Rights Commission as per Section 21(2)(b) of the Chapter V of the Act with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
