No.ASE.304/2016/ 58 : There are different types of educational institutions such as Higher Secondary School/Madrassa, High School/Madrassa, Arabic College , Title Madrassa, Senior Madrassa etc. under Secondary education . It is seen that the holidays pattern , timing , duration etc of these institutions are different . It is considered desirable to maintain uniformity in observing working hours and holidays of all such provincialised/ Government educational institutions under the Secondary Education .

Therefore , after careful consideration of all aspects , the Government of Assam in the Secondary Education Department have decided that henceforth , all provincialised/Government educational institutions under the Secondary Education will observe mandatory holiday on Sunday as observed by other offices of the State as per holiday list published by the Government in General Administration Department . No institution shall observe holiday which are not prescribed by the General Administration Department. However, the educational institutions shall follow summer vacation or such other vacation with prior approval of the Academic Calendar by the State Government in the Education Department .

Further, for the academic year 2017 , all educational institutions will observe working days and holidays as prepared by the respective Boards with prior approval of the State Government . The Board/Council will prepare academic calendar indicating the holidays and vacation maintaining uniformity with the holidays for all provincialised/Government educational institutions and submit the same for approval of the Government by 15/12/2016

This will come into force with immediate effect .

inspection of the factories / industries under the following Acts by the Inspectorate o Factories , Assam and the Commissionerate of to ease compliance by the industry and to achieve the interest of the workers as per the mandate of the Acts applicable to the factories / industries . Joint inspection shall be conducted under following Acts :

i. The Factories Act , 1948 & rules framed there under .

ii . The Equal Remuneration Act , 1976 and the rules framed there under .

Further , it is notified that the directions of the respective departmental online inspection schemes will be adhered to by the inspecting officers.

Apparently, the above mentioned subject doesn't involved amendment in any related Rules , Acts . If itis observed in future that , amendment of any Acts or Rules is required to give effect to the notification, it will be done accordingly . The notificatior will be modified / cancelled accordingly.
