No. 64/18 dated 27th June , 2018 and with the concurrence of Finance (EC - II) Department vide U.O. No. 1240/2018 dated 30th July, 2018 , in the scale of pay band of PB -4 , Rs . 12,000-40,000 plus Grade Pay Rs . 7,400.00 ( ROP 2010 ) per month with effect from 21st January, 2011 to 31st March, 2016 .
The Supernumerary post of Additional Chief Engineer (C ) , under PW (B & NH ) Department will be personal in nature and will be abolished as soon as the incumbent relinquishes the post in any manner.

1. In the first instance , it has to be noted that the printing of the weekly Gazette must be completed by the end of every Tuesday so that it may be duly published on every Wednesday .

Every notification and every other matter which is required to be printed and published in a particular issue of the Official Gazette must , therefore , reach the Deputy Director , Assam Government Press on the Monday of the week preceding the week in which it is required to be published . If this is not done it is infrictuous requesting the Deputy Director , Assam Government Press to publish such notification or other matter in the next issue of the Gazette , the expression usually inserted in all endorsements made to the Deputy Director.
3.Wherever it is necessary to print and publish a notification on a specified date ( excluding such Notification or communicate as are to be published in Gazette extraordinary ) clear instruction ofthat effect must be given to the Deputy Director, Assam Government Press , both on the body of such notification within the indication at the top in the red ink and is a separate covering .
4. To achieve the objective in papers 2 and 3 , it is essential that proper discretion should be exercised by the concerned officers in the Department or office and all matters for publication in the Gazette should scrutinised and sent to the Press after careful application.
5. As for publication of any matters in a Gazette , Extraordinary, the existing procedure whereby the prior approval of the General Administration Department is to be obtained will continue .

The premises of the Samiti , situated on the southern bank of the Dighali Tank , Gauhati , remains open from 2 p . m . to 5 p . m . on all days except Monday and Gazetted and local holidays or which it remains closed .
Information which may lead to the recovery of any historical religion article including more manuscript will be thankfully received .

The Reading Room at Esplanode is open on all working days from10 a . m . to 5 p . m .
The Childrens Wing at Belvedere remains open on all working days from 3 p . m . to 6 p . m . and Sundays and Holidays from 10 a. m. to 5 p . m . for the children between 5 and 14 years .
The Library is entirely closed on the Republic Day , Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi's birth day on the 26th January , 15th August and 2nd October every year respectively.
Persons not less than 18 years of age are eligible to use the Library. Both the Reading Room and the Lending Section are free to be used by any one residing in any part of the India Dominion . There is no subscription to pay but only security is each essential for borrowing books .
