In addition , he may undertake functions prescribed under Rule - 11 ( 8 ) of the Notaries Rules 1956 as amended . All such notarial acts shall be done under the signature and official seal of the Notary concerned and he is entitled to charge for notarial works only such fees , not exceeding the rates prescribed under Rule - 10 of the Notaries Rules , 1956 as amended .

Whereas having not been satisfied with the intention of the Delinquent Officer and after careful consideration of all aspects , the Government decided to enquire into the allegations and therefore appointed Shri Anurag Tankha , IPS , Inspector General of Police ( V & AC ) , Assam as the Inquiry Officer to inquire into the charges framed against Smti Jayshree Khersa , APS vide Notification No. ΗΜΑ . 226/ 2016/ Pt/ 595dated 20th June 2017 , and ;

Whereas , the Inquiry Officer after causing the inquiry into the charges , submitted his report to the Disciplinary Authority vide letter No. DGVA/IGP/DP / 2019 /40 dated 17th April 2019 , wherein the Inquiry Officer concluded that the charges of gross misconduct could not be conclusively established , and;

Now, therefore , the Governor of Assam is pleased to exonerate Smti Jayshree Khersa , APS from the charges leveled against her and the Departmental Proceding drawn up against her be dropped ;
