Whereas the Disciplinary Authority in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub- Rule 4 of Rule 9 of the Assam Services ( Discipline & Appeal ) Rules , 1964, carefully examined the written statement submittedby Shri Santanu Sarma , Assistant Executive Engineer and the materials on record, it has been found that hewrote the comment in the NRC Darrang Whatsapp group on 29/03/2019 but his comments were not made for the entire NRC process but as a reply to his colleague who is a Master Trainer for Claims & Objection Phase ; and

Whereas after careful examination of the written statement in defense and materials on record, it has been decided to impose a penalty of ' Censure' upon officer;

Therefore,the Governor of Assam is pleased to impose a penalty of Censure' upon Shri Santanu Sarma, Assistant Executive Engineer, Central Assam Investigation (WR) Division , Mangaldai and the Departmental Proceeding initiated against him vide Show Cause Notice .
