Term of Office : The Chairman , Vice- Chairman and Members of the Sub Divisional SC Development Board shall hold their position in the Board at the pleasure of the State Govt. The State Govt. may change the Chairman/Vice Chairman/Member of the board at any time . Moreover , the term of office of the board shall not exceed 3 years .
Functions of the Sub Divisional SC Dev . Board :
1. To select and approve list of schemes / beneficiaries under various developmental programmes funded by the Government .
2. To oversee implementation of development schemes executed by various Sectoral Departments of the State Government for the benefit of relevant community .
3. To ensure progress of implementation of schemes and proper utilization of grants sanctioned under WPT & BC Department .
4. To review the SC schemes and offer suggestions on proper implementation of the same to the State Government .
5. The Board shall sit at least 3 (three ) times in a financial year .
6. The Board shall monitor the implementation of schemes and report to the Government through SDWO .
The Governor of Assam is pleased to order that any of the members may preside over the meetings in absence of the Chairman/Vice- Chairman on being unanimously agreed upon and one third of the total members of the Board shall form quorum for holding a meeting .
