No SWD 23/2018/108 : In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 18 and 19 of the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act 2005 , and Rule 8 (3 ) of the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act Rules 2015, the Governor of Assam is pleased to re - appoint Dr ( Smti ) Sunita Changkakati as the Chairperson of the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights with immediate effect for another period not exceeding three years , or till the age of sixty five years , whichever is earlier .
The term of office of the Chairperson , salaries and allowances etc shall be such as prescribed by the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules 2015 .
She will assume office in compliance with Rule 3 of the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules 2015.

Whereas , the Superintendent of Police ( DSB ) , Biswanath , Assam in his letter No. BSR - 1 / 95/ 377 ( A ) , dated 20th March , 2020 issued to Deputy Commissioner , Biswanath . Assam. clearly mentioned that alleged Kazi & MMR was arrested on 05/10/2019 and forwarded to Judicial custody . The Superintendent of Police ( DSB ) , Biswanath . Assam in his letter/ report also mentioned that the alleged Kazi solemnized marriage of a minor girl Miss Hasnara Khatun . D/O- Lt. Harmus Ali , Vill- Sowaguri , P.S.- Biswanath Chariali , a student of class IX . whose age found below 18 years as per school record .
In View of the above , the Governor of Assam is plesed to revoke/ cancel the License No. REGN . 46/93/43 dated 27/10/94 under Sec.3 of the Assam Moslim Marriages and Divorces Registration Act.1935 issued for favour of Md . Zainuddin . Kazi & MMR of Biswanath . Assam.
