i. Act as a Commissioner to record evidence in any Civil or Criminal trial if so directed by any Court or Authority.
j . Act as an arbitrator, mediator or conciliator , if so required .
k. Any other act which may be prescribed.
In addition , they may undertake functions prescribed under Rule- 11 (8 ) of the Notaries Rules 1956 as amended. All such notarial acts shall be done under the signature and official seal of the Notary concerned and they are entitled to charge for notarial works only such fees , not exceeding the rates prescribed under Rule- 10 of the Notaries Rules, 1956 as amended.

I am directed to say that it has come to the notice of Government that important notification having bearing on statutes and matters of immediate public interest are sometimes published in the Official Gazette on date much later than prescribed . Government have decided, therefore , to introduce the following system with immediate effect , which must be strictly adhered to in sending notice to the Assam Government Press for publication in the official Gazette .
1. In the first instance , it has to be noted that the printing of the weekly Gazette must be completed by the end of every Tuesday so that it may be duly published on every Wednesday .

If this is not done it is infrictuous requesting the Director , Assam Government Press to publish such notification or other matter in the next issue of the Gazette , the expression usually inserted in all endorsements made to the Director.
3. Wherever it is necessary to print and publish a notification on a specified date ( excluding such Notification or communicate as are to be published in Gazette extraordinary ) clear instruction ofthat effect must be given to the Director, Assam Government Press , both on the body of such notification within the indication at the top in the red ink and is a separate covering .
4. To achieve the objective in papers 2 and 3 , it is essential that proper discretion should be exercised by the concerned officers in the Department or office and all matters for publication in the Gazette should scrutinised and sent to the Press after careful application.
5. As for publication of any matters in a Gazette , Extraordinary , the existing procedure whereby the prior approval of the General Administration Department is to be obtained will continue .

Eligibility Criteria for the Mandal ( Gr - III ) :
1. Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age on 1st January , 2020.
