The duties and responsibilities of the Honorary Wildlife Warden is to assist whole heatedly the State Organization responsible for wildlife conservation work . especially with regard to the following matters :
(a) Control of poaching and clandestine trade in wild animals and products/ articles thereof.
(b) Detection and prosecution of offences under the Wildlife ( Protection ) Act and the Rules made there under.
(c) Preventing damage to the habitat of wildlife .
(d) Identification and selection of areas suitable to be declared as sanctuaries , national parks , closed areas , etc ; as well as measures for their proper protection .
(e) Measures for dealing with the problem of damage by wild animals to life and property, including the assessment and payment of compensation , etc.
(f) Carrying the message of conservation to the people and enlisting public support for nature and wildlife conservation . The effort should be specially directed towards the communities living in or near the declared wildlife reserves .
(g) Any other matter connected with the protection of wildlife , which may be entrusted by the Wildlife Advisory Board or the Chief Wildlife Warden of the State, from time to time.
The appointee shall be subordinate to the Chief Wildlife Warden as per Sec. 4 (3 ) of the Wildlife ( Protection) Act, 1972 and also deemed to be public servants within the meaning of Sec 21 of the Indian Panel Code.
The appointment is further subject to any other instructions /guidelines issued by the Govt . of India or the State Govt . from time to time.

Term of Office : The Chairman , Vice - Chairman and Members of the Sub Divisional OBC Development Board shall hold their position in the board at the pleasure of the State Govt . The State Govt . may change the Chairman/ Vice Chairman/ Member of the board at any time . Moreover , the term of office of the board shall not exceed 3 years .
Functions of the Board :
1. To select and approve list of schemes/ beneficiaries under various developmental programmes funded by the Government .
2. To oversee implementation of development schemes executed by various Sectoral Departments of the State Government for the benefit of relevant community.

3. To ensure progress of implementation of schemes and proper utilization of grants sanctioned under WPT & BC Department .
4. To review the OBC schemes and offer suggestions on proper implementation of the same to the State Government .

6. The Board shall monitor the implementation of schemes and report to the Government through SDWO.
The Governor of Assam is pleased to order that any of the members may preside over the meetings in absence of the Chairman/ Vice- Chairman on being unanimously agreed upon and one third of the total members of the board shall form quorum for holding a meeting .

No. GLR . 14 / 2021 / 24.- Whereas an Industrial disputes has arisen in the matter specified in the Schedule below between the Management of Attabarie Tea Estate , P.O.- Rajmai, Dist .- Sivasagar ,agar , PIN- 785672 - Vs - their workman represented by the Secretary , Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha, Moran Circle , Dist.- Sivasagar, Assam.
In whereas it is considered expedient by the Government of Assam to refer the dispute for adjudication to Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Dibrugarh , constituted under Section 7-A of the Industrial Disputes Act , 1947 ( Act XIV of 1947 ) .
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause ( c ) Sub- Section ( 1 ) of Section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act , 1947 ( Act- XIV of 1947) as amended the Governor of Assam is pleased to refer the said Dispute to the Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal , Dibrugarh appointed under the provisions of the said act .

In continuation of this Deptt's earlier Notification No. CAD.39 / 2017 / 222 dtd . 29-01-2021 , the Governor of Assam is pleased to bring the Asom Sattriya Sangit Mahavidyalaya, Rajabari , Jorhat under the Cultural Affairs Department , Govt . of Assam , in the line of Luit Konwar Rudra Barua State College of Music , along with regularization of Gazetted posts of Teaching and Non -Teaching staff in the scale of pay as mentioned below with immediate effect and until further order .
