No.CAD.153/ 2017 /209.- In pursuance of recommendation of the Assam Public Service Commission communicated vide their letter No.24PSC / CON/ Exam - 20/ 2020- 2021 , dated 13-04-2021 the following candidate is temporarily appointed as Assistant Architect in the Directorate of Museums , Assam , Guwahati under Cultural Affairs Department in the scale of pay of Rs.30,000 / - to Rs.1,10,000/ - ( Pay Band 4 ) with Grade Pay of Rs . 12,700 /- plus other allowances as admissible with effect from the date of joining , until further orders .
The appointee should join within 15 ( fifteen) days from the date of issue of this Notification .
His services shall be governed by the " New Pension Scheme , 2005 " . In this regard , he will have to submit an undertaking at the time of joining in the service .

2. Part IX- Advertisement and Notices sent by Offices financialy independent of Government and Centre and other Government Department are published on payment of charges at prescribed rate. Private advertisement and notices are also inserted on payment if received through the respective Deputy Commissioner or Sub - Divisional Officer.
3.Application for the Gazette should be addressed to the Publisher , Assam Gazette , Guwahati and must be accompanied by a remittance .
4.Applications for the free supply of the Gazette on " the Public service " should be addressed to the Under Secretary to the Government of Assam , General Administration (Printing and Stationery Department . ) Dispur .
5. Complaints regarding non - receipt of any number , part or page of the Gazette should be forwarded within two weeks of the date on which such number or page is due .

SUBJECT : - Timely publication of Government Notifications and other important matters in the weekly Official Gazette .
I am directed to say that it has come to the notice of Government that important notification having bearing on statutes and matters of immediate public interest are sometimes published in the Official Gazette on date much later than prescribed . Government have decided , therefore , to introduce the following system with immediate effect , which must be strictly adhered to in sending notice to the Assam Government Press for publication in the Official Gazette.
1. In the first instance , it has to be noted that the printing of the weekly Gazette must be completed bythe end ofevery Tuesday so that it may be duly published on every Wednesday.

2. Every notification and every other matter which is required to be printed and published in a particular issue of the Official Gazette must , therefore , reach the Director , Assam Government Press on the Monday of the week preceding the week in which it is required to be published . If this is not done it is infructuous requesting the Director, Assam Government Press to publish such notification or other matter in the next issue of the Gazette , the expression usually inserted in all endorsements made to the Director.
3. Wherever it is necessary to print and publish a notification on a specified date ( excluding such Notification or communicate as are to be published in Gazette extraordinary) clear instruction ofthat effect must be given to the Director , Assam Government Press , both on the body of such notification within the indication at the top in the red ink and is a separate covering .
4. To achieve the objective in papers 2 and 3 , it is essential that proper discretion should be exercised by the concerned officers in the Department or office and all matters for publication in the Gazette should scrutinised and sent to the Press after careful application .
5. As for publication of any matters in a Gazette , Extraordinary, the existing procedure whereby the prior approval of the General Administration Department is to be obtained will continue .
I am to request you to acknowledge the receipt of this letter and confirmed that the instructions have been duly voted . If you have suggestion on this behalf they may please be communicated .

The Reading Room at Esplanode is open on all working days from10 a. m . to 5 p . m .
The Childrens Wing at Belvedere remains open on all working days from 3 p. m . to 6 p. m . and Sundays and Holidays from 10 a. m. to 5 p . m . for the children between 5 and 14 years .
The Library is entirely closed on the Republic Day, Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi's birth day on the 26th January, 15th August and 2nd October every year respectively.
Persons not less than 18 years of age are eligible to use the Library. Both the Reading Room and the Lending Section are free to be used by any one residing in any part of the India Dominion. There is no subscription to pay but only security is each essential for borrowing books .
