No. E200186.- The Governor of Assam is pleased to enhance the minimum wages of the plantation workers in the State of Assam by an interim wage of Rs.18/- per day w.e.f. 1st October, 2023 as was agreed by the stakeholders. Accordingly, the tea plantation workers in Brahmaputra Valley shall get an interim minimum wage of Rs. 250/- per day from existing Rs.232/- per day and the tea plantation workers in Barak Valley shall get Rs. 228/- per day from the existing Rs. 210/- per day till further orders.

The interim minimum wages for small tea garden workers will also be pegged at Rs. 250/- per day in Brahmaputra Valley and Rs. 228/- per day in Barak Valley in Assam w.e.f. 1st October, 2023 till further orders.

No. 289562/6.- In continuation to this Department's previous notification No.HLA.289562/3 dated 30/03/2023 regarding verification / re-assessment of disability of person(s) holding Disability Certificate(s) or UDID Card(s) issued by the Certifying Authorities prescribed under Section 57 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the following measures are further put in place in order to streamline the re-assessment process of all stakeholders, including the candidates appearing for various recruitment examinations under Government of Assam against the posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities:

1. The responsibility of re-assessment of disability is completely vested upon the Medical Board constituted by Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent / Superintendent of the concerned medical college for the purpose.

2. The medical boards shall apply due diligence in ascertaining, inter-alia, the percentage of disability.

Existence of multiple disabilities, if any, will also be duly recorded. Since such medical boards shall invariably consist of specialists of all the necessary departments, the report of the medical board shall be treated as final and binding. As such, the report of the medical board shall not be subject to review of any other officer of this Department.

3. The Certifying Authorities, on receipt of the re-assessment report of the medical board, shall take necessary action for cancellation of the Disability Certificate(s) or UDID Card(s) issued to the individual(s), if required, based on the report of the medical board. However, the Certifying Authority shall not alter / modify / deviate from the findings of the medical board in its report.

This notification comes into force with immediate effect.

(l) The Chairperson shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Three Lakh rupees.

(2) The Member (Administrative) shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Two Lakh Fifty Thousand rupees.

This relaxation & fixation of salary is applicable only to the current incumbent Chairperson and Member (Administrative) of Real Estate Appellate Tribunal and shall be paid from the date of their joining to the date of completion of their tenure in the Tribunal.

This will come into force with immediate effect.

The expenditure is debitable to the Head of Account - "2235-Social Security and Welfare-60-others Social Security and Welfare Programme-102-Pension under Social Security Scheme-0974-Pension to Freedom Fighters and their encoders-000-21-Pensioni Gratuity-01-Pension.

The arrear pension is applicable to all pensioners who are drawing the State Freedom Fighter Pension from the state Exchequer.

This has been issued with the concurrence of Finance (EC-II) Department vide their U/O No. 701/ 2021, dtd. 4th October, 2021.

Terms of office: The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Members of the Sub-Divisional SC DeveloprrtehtBoard shall hold their position in the board at the pleasure of the State Govt. The State Govt. may at any time change the Chairman/Vice-Chairman/Member of the Development Board or may dissolve the Development Board or may reconstitute the Development Board. The Development Board shall stand dissolved on completion of three years from the date of notification, unless dissolved earlier. Function of the Board:

1) To select and approve list of schemes/beneficiaries under various developmental programmes funded by the Government.

2) To oversee implementation of development schemes executed by various Sectoral Departments of the State Government for the benefit of the community concerned. 3) To ensure progress of implementation of schemes and proper utilization of grants sanctioned under Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.

4) To review the SC schemes and offer suggestions on proper implementation of the same to the State Government.

5) The Board shall monitor the implementation of shemes and report to the Government through SDWO.
