Whereas, the Suspension Review Committee has observed that departmental proceedings initiated against the officer by issue of show cause vide eCF No. RLR. 575709/58 dated 30th January, 2025 is ongoing;

Whereas, the Suspension Review Committee has also observed that the officer has submitted the reply of show cause but O/o the State Enquiry Officer, Assam is yet to suggest name of Enquiry Officer for conduct of enquiry of the departmental proceedings;

Whereas, the Suspension Review Committee has recommended for extension of suspension of Shri Sunbar Chutia, ALRS (DR- 2017), by another 3 (three) months with effect from 14th May, 2025.

Whereas, it has been observed that the charges are grave enough which involve failing to maintain integrity and dereliction in duty;

Therefore, considering the seriousness of the matter, the Governor of Assam is pleased to extend the period of suspension in respect of Shri Sunbar Chutia, ALRS (DR-2017), for further period of 3 (three) months with effect from 14th May, 2025.

SUBJECT :- Timely publication of Government Notifications and other important matters in the weekly Official Gazette.

I am directed to say that it has come to the notice of Government that important notification having bearing on statutes and matters of immediate public interest are sometimes published in the Official Gazette on date much later than prescribed. Government have decided, therefore, to introduce the following system with immediate effect, which must be strictly adhered to in sending notice to the Assam Government Press for publication in the Official Gazette.

1. In the first instance, it has to be noted that the printing of the weekly Gazette must be completed by the end of every Tuesday so that it may be duly published on every Wednesday.

2. Every notification and every other matter which is required to be printed and published in a particular issue of the Official Gazette must, therefore, reach the Director, Assam Government Press on the Monday of the week preceding the week in which it is required to be published. If this is not done it is infructuous requesting the Director, Assam Government Press to publish such notification or other matter in the next issue of the Gazette, the expression usually inserted in all endorsements made to the Director.

3. Wherever it is necessary to print and publish a notification on a specified date (excluding such Notification or communicate as are to be published in Gazette extraordinary) clear instruction of that effect must be given to the Director, Assam Government Press, both on the body of such notification within the indication at the top in the red ink and is a separate covering.
