Now, in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 6 (2) of the Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964, Sri Dinseh Sarma Medhi, Superintending Engineer, PWD Nalbari NH Circle, S/O Late Sadananda Sarma Medhi, R/O Rajgorh Road, H/No. 198 (A), Near Bihutoli, P.S.- Chandmari, Guwahati, District- Kamrup (M), Assam who was arrestedon 23rd July 2025 at 3:15 P.M. by Bongaigaon Police Station, vide PS C/N -188 /2025, U/S- 108/ 3 (5) BNS, is deemed to have been suspended with effect from the date of his detention i.e. 23rd July, 2025 pending drawal of Departmental proceeding against him.

It is not permissible for him without previous sanction of the Government to accept private employment or to do business while undersuspension in view of the Rule 12 of the Assam Civil Service (Conduct) Rules, 1965. If while under suspension he accepts privet employment, does business in violation of Rule 12 of the Assam Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965, he will be guilty of misconduct and will be liable to be dealt with accordingly. He is also liable in that case to forfeit his claim for subsistence allowance. The Head Quarter of Sri Dinesh Sarma Medhi, Superintending Engineer during the period of suspension will be Nalbari. He will not leave the Head Quarter without prior writen permission of the competent authority.
