का.आ. 50( अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम, 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, अवधारित करती है कि:-
( क) " गणतंत्र की स्वर्ण जयंत्ती " ( 1950-2000 ) के समारोह की स्मृति में केन्द्रीय सरकार के प्राधिकार के अधीन जारी करने के लिए टकसालों में निम्नलिखित अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा, अर्थात्: -
( 1 ) पचास रुपए;
( 2) पांच रुपए;
(3) दो रुपए;
(ख ) उपरोक्त अंकित मूल्य के सिक्के निम्नलिखित विमाओं, डिजाइन और संरचना के अनुरूप होंगे, अर्थात्:-

मुख भाग:
सिक्के के इस भाग पर मध्य में अशोक स्तंभ का सिंह शीर्ष होगा जिसके नीचे " सत्यमेव जयते " आदर्श वाक्य अंतर्लिखित होगा, उसकी बाई ऊपरी परिधि पर हिन्दी में " भारत " शब्द होगा और दाईं ऊपरी परिधि पर अंग्रेजी में " India " शब्द होगा । उस पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंकित मूल्य " 50 " होगा और बाईं निचली परिधि पर हिन्दी में " रुपए " शब्द होगा और दाईं निचली परिधि में अंग्रेजी में " Rupees " शब्द होगा।

सिक्केके इस भाग पर मध्य में राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक होगा और उसके नीचे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में " 50 " होगा । नीचे की परिधि पर उस पर समुद्र की बहती हुई शक्तिशाली लहरों का परिदृश्य होगा । ऊपरी बाईं परिधि पर हिन्दी में " गणतंत्र की स्वर्ण जयंती " शब्द और ऊपरी दाईं परिधि पर अंग्रेजी में " GOLDEN JUBILEE OF REPUBLIC " शब्द अंतर्लिखित होंगे । विषय के नीचे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में " 1950-2000 " अंक दर्शित होंगे ।

5 रूपयों के लिए सुरक्षा किनाराः
सिक्के का किनारा दांतेदार सहित नियमित क्रम से चिह्नित किया गया या ऊपर की तरफ रेखांकन और सुरक्षा किनारे वाला होगा । किनारे के मध्य में खाली स्थान द्वारा पृथक्कृत दो खंडों में के भीतर डिजाइन के साथ उठा हुआ खांचा होगा । इस डिजाइन में उभार में मनकाओं की माला होगी और दूसरा मनका उभार में प्रत्येक मनका के बाद एक आनत रेखा होगी । कुल 30 रेखाएं और 30 मनका होंगे ।
(3) दो रुपए
मुख्य भाग:

section 6 S.O. 50 (E) . of In exercise of the the Coinage Act , 1906 ( 3 of Government hereby determines that : - powers 1906 ) , the Central conferred by (a) shall also be The coins of the following denominations coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of " Golden Jubilee of Republic " (1950-2000 ) , namely : -
( 1 ) Fifty Rupees ;
(2) Five Rupeeв ;
(3) Two Rupees ;

OBVERSE : -
This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of the centre with the legend " सत्यमल जयत Flanked theon left Ashoka Pillar in inscribed below . upper periphery with the word भारत in Hindi and on the right upper periphery with the word "INDIA " in English . shall also bear the denomination value "50 " in International Numerals , flanked on the left lower periphery with the word " रुपय " in Hindi and on the right lower periphery with the word " RUPEES " in English . On the lower periphery it depicts a panorama of flowing , powerful waves of a sea . On the upper left periphery with the words गणतन्त्र का स्वर्ण जयतो inscribed in Hindi and on the right upper periphery the word "GOLDEN JUBILEE OF REPUBLIC " in English . The figure " 1950-2000 " shall be shown below the theme in International Numerals .

SECURITY EDGE FOR 5. RUPEES
The edge of the coin shall be milled with a serrated or upright milling and security edge . In the centre of the edge there shall be a shallow groove with a design inside the two sections seperated by blank space . This design shall consist of chain of beads in relief and each bead being followed by one inclined line in relief . There shall be total 30 lines and 30 beads .
