का.आ. 53( अ). आयकर अधिनियम , 1961 ( 1961 का 43 ) की धारा 10 के खंड ( 15 ) के उपखंड ( IV ) की मद ( ज ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार एतद्वारा पावर कारपोरेशन लिमिटेड द्वारा वर्ष 1999-2000 के दौरान जारी पचहत्तर करोड़ रुपये की कुल धनराशि के प्रतिवर्ष 8.70 % संदेय ब्याज वाले दस वर्षीय कर मुक्त ( 2009 - II श्रृंखला ) अपरिवर्तनीय अप्रतिभूत मोचनीय बन्धपत्र जिनमें से तीस करोड़ और पचास लाख रु. की धनराशि जिनकी विशिष्ट सं. 00000001 से 00003050 तक और चवालिस करोड़ और पचास लाख रु. की धनराशि के जिनकी विशिष्ट सं. 00003051 से 00007500 तक है , को उक्त मद के प्रयोजनार्थ विनिर्दिष्ट करती है:
बशर्ते कि उक्त मद के अन्तर्गत लाभ केवल तभी ग्राह्य होगा यदि ऐसे बंधपत्रों का धारक अपना नाम तथा अपनी धृति उक्त निगम के पास पंजीकृत करवा देता है ।

New Delhi , the 18th January, 2001

S.O. 53 ( E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by item (h) of sub-clause ( iv) of clause ( 15 ) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act , 1961 (43 of 1961) , the Central Government hereby specifies tax -free (2009-11 Series ) non- convertible, unsccured and redeemable bonds of rupees seventy five crores each carrying an interest of 8.70 % per annum payable yearly for a period of ten ycars for an amount of rupees thirty crores and fifty lakhs only bear- ingdistinctive numbers from 00000001 to 00003050 and forty four crores and fifty lakhs bearing distinctive num- berfrom 00003051 to 00007500 issued by the Power Cor- poration Limited during the financial ycar 1999-2000 for the purpose of the said item:
Provided that the benefit under the said item shall be admissible only if the holder of such bonds registers his or her name and the holding with the said Corpora- tion.
