New Delhi, the 31st January, 2001
S.O. 86(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (4) of Section 4 of the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 (44 of 1994), the Central Government hereby nominates Shri Mahinder Pal Chawla and Mrs. Mohini Garg as members and Shri Ram Bhaj, MLA as the Vice-Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council, and for that purpose makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs number S.O. 1139(E), dated,-the 22nd December, 2000, with effect from the date of publication of this notification, namely :—
In the said notification,—
1I) under the heading "Members nominated by the Central Government under clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 4", after the existing item number (9) and the entries relating thereto, the following heading, item numbers and entries shall be inserted, namely :—
"Members nominated by the Central Government under clause (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 4 :
(10) Shri Mahinder Pal ChawJa, —Member
16, South Avenue, New Delhi-110011.
(U) Mrs. Mohini Garg, —Member";
213, Golf Links, New Delhi.
(2) after paragraph 8, the following paragraph shall be added, namely .—
"The Central Government, in consultation with the Chief Minister of Delhi, hereby nominates Shri Ram Bhaj, member, as the Vice-Chairperson of the Council as per sub-section (4) of Section 4 of the said Act". Note.—The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India vide number S.O. 1139(E) dated, the 22nd December, 2000.
